An SEO’d Poem
Dug up from two years ago, I wrote this poem (read: collection of words) after writing a disproportionately large amount of websites for Landscapers and the like whilst working at Yell (now Hibu). The work involved creating content for three or four pages of a simple website using SEO terms and an engaging style. Not wanting to see my wonderful creation (read: rambling blather) shunned in the dusty attic of Draft forever more, I’ll publish it here.
Landscapers to create your garden.
Landscapers to lay your lawn.
Landscapers to prune your trees
and hedges and bushes.
Landscapers to lay a stone path
or patio.
Landscapers to install a pond.
Landscapers to erect fences
and gates
and sheds.
Wooden and custom made.
“Compliment your garden” you write.
You write to win them over.
You’re on their side
or so they think.
Comprehensive landscaping
“we’ll sort you out with a perfect garden”
Is this what you want?
Is this what you search for?
Repeat what works.
A flair, true innovation—
“Create your own garden of Eden.”
But after the third or fourth repeat it slips back in with the rest.
Upgrade your outdoor space.
Transform and improve your garden.
Landscapers around Exeter
Oxford, York and Crawley
in Southampton
across Leicestershire
Enclose your property with our wooden fencing,
feather-board, picket, post, and plain;
supplied and erected
like our garden outhouses.
“Perfect in summer” you write,
tongue in cheek as the months only grow colder.
Repeat what works
